> Full-stack .NETengineering, builtto last.

I'm Ankit — a full-stack .NET developer with five years spent shipping dependable backends, clean APIs and the observability that keeps them honest. I take products from a rough spec to a system your team can trust in production.

A quiet obsession with systems that don't page you at 3am.

I've spent the last five years in the .NET ecosystem — inside product teams and consultancies, building for clients who needed a senior pair of hands. My work sits mostly on the server: designing APIs, modelling data, and untangling the parts of a codebase everyone else has learned to avoid.

I care about the unglamorous things. Clear boundaries between layers. Migrations that run once and correctly. Logs that tell you what actually happened. The result is software that behaves the same on a Tuesday afternoon as it does under Friday-evening load.

Clients bring me in to modernise ageing .NET Framework systems, cut database costs, or stand up a greenfield service on Azure without accumulating a year of technical debt in the first sprint.

Most recently that has meant observability — collecting traces, logs and metrics off distributed industrial machines so engineers can reproduce a customer incident locally instead of guessing at it.

Description

Small, direct engagements — a shared understanding of the goal, honest estimates, and code your own team can read and own after I've gone.

Options

--net-api-backend-engineering[01]

.NET API & backend engineering

ASP.NET Core services with clear boundaries between layers, a data model that holds up, and migrations that run once and correctly.

  • API design & implementation
  • Entity Framework modelling
  • Auth & integration work
--legacy-net-modernisation[02]

Legacy .NET modernisation

Moving ageing .NET Framework systems forward — up to .NET 8, onto Azure, or out of a monolith — without a rewrite that never lands.

  • Framework → .NET 8 upgrades
  • SOA to REST migration
  • Incremental strangler-fig rollouts
--database-design-performance[03]

Database design & performance

Modelling, indexing and query work in SQL Server and PostgreSQL, usually starting from whatever is currently costing the most money.

  • Schema & index design
  • Stored procedure tuning
  • Cost and query audits
--observability-telemetry[04]

Observability & telemetry

Logs, traces and metrics that actually answer questions — OpenTelemetry pipelines into SigNoz and ClickHouse, plus the tooling to replay an incident locally.

  • OpenTelemetry instrumentation
  • Dashboards & alerting
  • Incident reproduction tooling
--process-automation-rpa[05]

Process automation & RPA

Automating the Excel, desktop and web workflows a team has quietly been doing by hand, built in C# from documentation rather than recordings.

  • Excel & desktop automation
  • Web and API workflows
  • Deployment & robot management
--full-stack-feature-delivery[06]

Full-stack feature delivery

Shipping a feature end to end when you need one pair of hands to cover both sides — React or Angular on the front, .NET behind it.

  • React / Angular frontends
  • End-to-end feature work
  • Production support
